...but WHAT are those OTHER ones??? (Nevermind. I know what they are. Tsk tsk tsk.)

For instance, SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, #50: "Has any record's influence upon music proved so malignant? Concept albums, progressive rock, Brian Wilson's nervous breakdown, baby boomer's yammering away about the Summer of Love, musicians taking themselves as seriously as cancer surgeons--all the Beatles' fault."
I'd send you the link, but I don't know how.
I thought Colbert was hilarious. His wit was razor sharp and he fiercely roasted most of the audience members at the correspondent's dinner. However, I also think his repuatation for bravery is a little overblown. People are mistaking who his audience was, it wasn't the folks at the dinner. He is an entertainer first and foremost. He seeks to entertain as many people as possible and promote his career as an entertainer, he's not seeking a position in the Bush cabinet or with a newspaper. I also think its been a long time (never?) since anyone in THIS country was locked up for the point of view they expressed in a comedy routine...
True. But for a comedian I believe to say some of the things he did in Bush's company (I believe he was trying to do more than simply entertain) took alot of bravery. I believe some of the things he said crossed the line between comedian and commentator.
What I think is sad is crybabies in the press corps. That is just pathetic. Show a little confidence for goodness sake!
Exactly... I think that sort of is the point he was making (ala John Stewart)... Still it was funny.
